I cannot believe that it has been 6 years since my surgery.
That sounds so long ago!
Today I am feeling great.
I forgot to weigh myself this morning so I borrowed the nurse's scale.
I weighed in at 153 lbs.
Holding steady and loving it.

I was so excited to go shopping for bridesmaid dresses last week.
I will be in my brother, Kevin's, wedding in November.
In 2006 I had to guess what size I would be for my sister's wedding that September.
By Sept. 30, 2006 I had lost 80 lbs and wore a size 18 dress to the wedding.
This year I will be wearing a size 12 dress. Yay!
It was so weird to actually have fun trying on dresses.

I know I don't post here much anymore
But I want people to know that it is possible to lose the weight
And keep it off.
Even after having a baby.

Now...where's my annual steak?
If I could only unscrew the gas tank to my grill!!! Grrr.

I am so happy that I found your blog... I am revising my lapband to gastric bypass surgery soon. I have lost alot of weight with my lapband but I am having some issues so I need to revise. You are an inspiration. *Maria*~DiZneDiVa:Blogger of "This One Time at Band Camp... 1 vs 300" Follow my journey at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com

It was nice to read your blogs and they are inspiring. I have second thought on getting a surgery, afraid of the pain and the complication and so I tried an alternative. I found this roca labs product a great alternative to lose weight instead of having a surgery. Luckily, I lost 30 lbs in 3 months, still on with the product and looking forward to lose 20 lbs more on the following months..

Nice Blog. Glad to see you doing well after surgery. WLS is not the easy way out as many may think, and as a bariatric surgeon, I enjoy reading the journey of different patients. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

Hi Carrie

Thank you so much for sharing your story - I've found it really inspiring. I am having my gastric bypass op on 1 December and am recording my progress here http://clairesop.blogspot.co.uk/ - I really hope that it is a success!
